Photographic Competition Entries

Shown as the third block of pictures below under the heading “ALL OTHER ENTRIES RECEIVED” are the pictures taken on the above day trip, other than the shortlisted 12 which appear as the second block. There were some excellent photographs sent in and the final selection from that group of 12 has proven very difficult. A big thank you to all who submitted entries.

From the “12 SHORTLISTED PHOTOGRAPHS ” group, the winning entry has now been selected and that image appears as a full size photograph just below. So, many congratulations to Gill Fitzmaurice. The picture has great depth, clarity, natural beauty and detail. A bottle of Australian Merlot will be with you within the next few days !

I have deliberately changed the order of the shortlisted pictures so that the top two rows of three include those images which were in my view the closest challengers. But please take heart from the fact that all the pictures which came in were of a high standard.

You may be interested to know that it is also my intention to use some of the shortlisted photographs as heading pictures on some of the other pages within the website over the coming months. Could yours be one of them ?
