WED 5 APRIL 2023 at 2pm – VISIT TO VEOLIA RECYCLING AND ENERGY RECOVERY FACILITY

IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

Please read and note the following before booking.

HEALTH & SAFETY RULES

• Do any members of the group struggle with heights or have mobility issues? Please be aware that there are in excess of a 100 stairs and grilled walkways within the operational plant itself, and a reasonable level of fitness is needed to complete the full tour. Visitors with respiratory or cardiac conditions, or who suffer from vertigo, may struggle.   Anyone who uses a walking stick or other mobility aid will unfortunately not be able to complete the tour.  
• For Health and Safety reasons, arms and legs must be covered for the site tour, and visitors will be required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment).  It is therefore advised that ladies wear trousers as opposed to skirts or dresses.  Sensible, flat, closed toe, lace up footwear with a sturdy sole that covers the ankle (eg walking boots, not trainers or rigger boots) must be worn.  Alternatively, safety boots can be provided.
