Annual Show 2023

On the afternoon of Saturday 9th September we held our Annual show at the Cookridge Methodist Church Hall.

The show was well attended and the September heat wave ensured a bright sunny day with blue skies from start to finish. With many exhibits, a prize raffle, tombola, plant sale and refreshments there was something for everyone.

A photographic record of the show is given below. These pictures, many of which were taken by Photography Class Judge Tim Balls are supplemented by a number taken by Geoff Lawson. Many thanks to Tim for supplying such a bright and colourful set of images which reflect what proved to be a very good and enjoyable day.

A big thank you to all who came along, a big welcome to the new members who joined the club during the afternoon and a big thank you to all the Committee members , friends , relatives and helpers without whose help the show wouldn’t have been possible.

Thank you also to the local businesses and individuals who kindly sponsored show classes and whose kindness and generosity is, as always, very much appreciated.

Many thanks also to the Judges for all of their help and advice on the class entries and to David Allison FNVS, who features in a number of the images below, for presenting the numerous trophies.

And finally thanks and congratulations to Denise Watson, Show Secretary, ably supported by new Club Chairwoman Ruth Straw, on a very successful first show for both.
