Summer is almost here and as we look forward to the warmer months we welcome Georgia Gilbert from John Chambers to give a talk on “Wildflowers” at this, our fifth meeting of the year.

Georgia has now supplied some more information regarding her talk to us in May.
“I could talk to you about wildflowers for hours” writes Georgia, “but I’ll keep it to around a 45-minute talk with time for any questions at the end”.  A few suggestions from Georgia are given below, but other related topics could be added.

– Wildflower industry

– Seed mixture choice

– Designing seed mixtures

– Area preparation

– Sowing & Maintenance of areas

– Benefits to wildlife”.

 

Sounds like it will be an interesting and varied presentation. Certainly one to look forward to as we move towards summer.

Please remember that our monthly meetings are now being held on Tuesdays at the Cookridge Village Hall, Moseley Wood Lane,

Cookridge, Leeds, LS16 7ER

All are welcome at our meetings and events so why not come along to the Village Hall and see if it’s for you ? The doors will be open from shortly after 7.00.p.m. with the meeting due to begin at 7.30.p.m.  We hope you can join us, and we look forward to seeing you then.

The Village Hall does have good level access so if you have mobility problems please don’t be put off. Just let a Committee member know that you will be coming and we will be pleased to provide any necessary help.
