May 2024 Monthly Meeting

For more information please click on the heading above.
“Hepworth Gallery Garden – Transforming an unusual piece of land into a beautiful free public garden” is the topic of Katy Merrington’s presentation on Wednesday 15th May. If the Gallery’s website is anything to go by it should be a very interesting presentation. The garden at the Hepworth Wakefield Art Gallery has been designed by internationally renowned garden designer Tom Stuart-Smith and was opened to the public in 2019. Katy will speak about the creation and development of this beautiful new public space, along with inspiring ideas for creating year-round interest through perennial plantings. This is our fifth monthly meeting and the last one before the summer break. However the Committee are busy working on events to take us through the summer and of course there is our Annual Show to look forward to in September.
All are welcome at our meetings and events so why not come along to the Methodist Church Hall and see if it’s for you ? Most of our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month, the exception being December when we meet on the second Wednesday of the month. The doors will be open from shortly after 7.00.p.m. with the meeting due to begin at 7.30.p.m. We hope you can join us, and we look forward to seeing you then.
Please remember that the Church Hall does have a lift to take passengers from the car park to the Hall level. So if you have mobility problems please don’t be put off. Just let a Committee member know that you will be coming and we will be pleased to have the lift ready and available for you to use.
