As we progress into the New Year we  look forward to our first presentation of 2024.  Presented by Sarah Owen-Hughes  the intriguing title is “Secrets of the Soil”. Sarah knows all the dirt about dirt ! After 15 years lecturing in soil science Sarah will guide us in a fun and enthusiastic way through methods to interpret your soil and how to improve it without breaking the your back ( or the bank ) !

Sarah invites anyone who would like to bring a sample of their soil ( a small margarine  tub’s worth ) taken from about 30cm down to the meeting and Sarah will show you how to test it.   You won’t look at your soil in the same way again !

So please join us in the safety of the Methodist Church Hall on Wednesday 17th January

Most of our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month, the exception being December when we meet on the second Wednesday of the month. The doors will be open from shortly after 7.00.p.m. with the meeting due to begin at 7.30.p.m.  We hope you can join us, and we look forward to seeing you then.  And whether you are able to come or not the Chair and Committee of the Cookridge Garden Club wish you a very Happy New Year and a peaceful, prosperous and most of all, a healthy 2024.
